Job Description:

The Operational Risk Reporting Analyst will support RISK ORM Americas in acting as the 2nd Line of Defense for all the BNP Paribas activities in the region. The key role is to support CIB and RISK Senior Management with a comprehensive, transparent, exhaustive, and consistent view of Operational Risk Management topics across the territory.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Operational Risk Officers and the governance bodies by producing metrics weekly, monthly, and quarterly (Key Risk Indicators, Historical Incidents, External Loss Data, Audit and Regulatory Recommendations, Risk and Control Self-Assessments, Independent Testing Results).
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of operational risk reporting standards, methods, and processes, including documenting reporting and analysis processes through the creation and maintenance of standard reporting procedures.
  • Maintain transparent audit trails to all reporting and analysis, enabling managers to review work and satisfy audit requests.
  • Develop processes and tools to spot data inconsistencies and implement procedures to remediate known data issues that arise from RISK ORM owned data repositories.
  • Provide administrative support to local stakeholders on RISK ORM owned tools.
  • Fulfill ad hoc information requests and adapt to new challenges and requirements with agility.

The strengths and skills that will help you succeed:

  • Bachelor of Science in a Risk Management domain, Data Science, Finance, or other applicable degree such as mathematics, statistics, etc.
  • Previous experience supporting the production and creation of reports with strong analytical skills and an ability to collect, organize, analyze, disseminate, and manage significant amounts of data/information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Power BI.
  • Knowledgeable in Python coding.
  • Attention to detail and rigor in documenting work papers.
  • Understanding of reporting governance principles such as four-eyes, audit trails, and segregation of duties.
  • Previous experience with Operational Risk Management will be a differentiating factor.
  • Pro-active spirit and dynamic attitude.
  • Knowledge of English and French is required due to the vast majority of clients being based outside of Quebec and Canada.
