Description

client in NYC that is seeking an Optime/Anesthesia Implementation Specialist to support the design, build, and deployment of perioperative and anesthesia applications within a large healthcare environment. This role focuses on implementing complex surgical workflows, collaborating with operational teams, and ensuring successful delivery of system enhancements and major projects. The position is primarily remote with occasional on-site presence as needed. Responsibilities:
Lead and support full-cycle implementation activities for perioperative and anesthesia applications, including analysis, design, build, testing, and go-live support
Gather and translate business and clinical requirements into clear functional and technical specifications
Collaborate with clinical and technical teams to define workflows across pre-op, intra-op, and post-op environments
Support device integration, supply workflows, and third-party system connections as needed
Facilitate meetings, document requirements, manage changes, and support testing and deployment cycles
Provide end-user support, troubleshoot issues, and assist with optimization efforts
Contribute to training, mentoring, and process-improvement activities across the team

Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience
Current Epic certification in OpTime and/or Anesthesia (required)
5+ years of Epic implementation experience within a large healthcare setting
Experience supporting surgical workflows, including pre-admission testing, pre-op, intra-op, and recovery
Familiarity with supply management, barcoding workflows, and device integration
Experience with third-party perioperative systems (preferred)
Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills
Clinical or hands-on perioperative experience is a plus
Experience with multiple full lifecycle implementations preferred
