Description

client that is seeking a Senior Mainframe Engineer in Merrimack, NH. In this role, you will deploy and support software releases into production environments.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
Proven expertise with mainframe technologies and working knowledge of distributed systems
Extensive experience in SQL language
Strong knowledge of and experience with the overall testing process
Any knowledge or experience in distributed technologies, cloud computing, and/or Java programming is a plus
Solid hands-on development skills in mainframe languages and technologies (Cobol, CICS, VSAM, JCL, utilities, FileAid, Endevor, debuggers, schedulers, etc.)
Proficiency with the DB2 database management system and database processing concepts
Effective communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities; Capacity to successfully implement complex solutions in a dynamic environment
Relevant certifications in mainframe and distributed technologies are desirable
