Description
 a client in Greenwood Village, CO that is seeking a GQL Java Software Developer. Summary: We are looking for a Software Engineer to design, build, and support applications within a large, distributed data platform environment. This role is ideal for an Engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, working across modern APIs, and continuously improving how software is built and delivered. The GQL Java Developer will contribute across the full development lifecycle-from design and implementation through testing, deployment, and support-while collaborating closely with engineers, product partners, and platform teams. Responsibilities:
Design, develop, modify, and implement software applications supporting data-driven platforms and services
Build and maintain backend services and APIs used by internal and downstream systems
Support application deployments, upgrades, and operational stability across environments
Participate in code reviews, test planning, test execution, and release certification
Analyze requirements and translate them into scalable, maintainable solutions
Troubleshoot issues across application and integration layers and drive resolution
Apply sound engineering judgment to plan work, estimate effort, and deliver results
Continuously improve development efficiency, quality, and reliability

Requirements
5-7 years of professional software development experience
Hands-on experience with Java
Experience building or consuming GraphQL APIs
Working knowledge of JavaScript and modern web or API-driven development
Familiarity with modern SDLC practices (CI/CD, automated testing, version control)
Exposure to enterprise-scale systems, data platforms, or distributed architectures is a plus
