Senior Mobile Developer Birmingham

Birmingham, AL that is seeking a Lead Mobile Developer with deep native mobile expertise and a proven ability to mentor and scale engineering teams. This role will play a key part in driving architecture, best practices, and delivery excellence across mobile platforms. Key Responsibilities:

Lead development of native mobile applications across iOS and/or Android
Architect scalable, high-performance mobile solutions
Mentor and guide junior and mid-level developers
Establish and enforce mobile development best practices
Integrate third-party libraries and APIs across applications
Collaborate with product and engineering leadership on technical direction
Participate in Agile Scrum processes and drive delivery outcomes
Provide clear communication, status updates, and facilitate team alignment
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related field
Proven experience as a mobile developer working with native OS architectures
Extensive experience with: iOS: Swift, SwiftUI; Android: Kotlin, Jetpack Compose
Demonstrated experience mentoring or leading developers
Strong experience with third-party libraries and API integrations
Deep understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles
Comfortable working in a structured Agile Scrum environment
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Strong communication skills with ability to drive consensus across teams
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrable portfolio of released applications on the App Store or Google Play Store
Experience working across both iOS and Android platforms
Experience in large-scale, enterprise environments
Team Environment:
Team includes 2 Level 3 Engineers and 1 Level 4 Engineer
Part of a larger organization with three mobile development teams
