Job Title: Commercial Space Architect, Warehouse Designer

The Role

We're looking for a Commercial Space Architect to design and optimize the physical environments that support robotics, hardware, and AI operations. This role combines architecture, industrial design, and operational systems thinking to create facilities that maximize throughput, safety, and scalability.

You'll help shape warehouses, labs, and production environments by translating technical requirements into high-performance spaces that enable efficient human and machine workflows.

What You'll Do

1. Review and evaluate facility layouts, identifying risks and optimization opportunities across robotics operations, repair areas, charging infrastructure, receiving, storage, QC, network rooms, and operator workspaces.
2. Assess facilities for operational readiness, including power, HVAC, networking, security, life safety, loading access, and infrastructure constraints.
3. Optimize layouts to improve throughput, equipment uptime, workflow efficiency, and space utilization.
4. Analyze adjacency and workflow design to support seamless movement of people, robots, and materials.
5. Partner with Operations, Engineering, Facilities, Real Estate, Safety, and Finance teams to develop scalable facility solutions.
6. Identify design and infrastructure risks early, enabling better site selection and buildout decisions.
7. Help create modern, high-performance environments that support advanced technical operations.

What We're Looking For

1. Experience in commercial architecture, industrial facilities, warehouse planning, or manufacturing environments.
2. Strong understanding of operational workflows, facility systems, and space optimization.
3. Ability to review technical floor plans and translate requirements into practical buildout recommendations.
4. Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, or similar design tools.
5. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
6. Systems-thinking mindset with a focus on efficiency, scalability, and safety.

Preferred

1. Experience with robotics, hardware labs, warehouse automation, manufacturing, fulfillment, or data center environments.
2. Background in architecture, industrial design, engineering, or a related technical field.
