About the Firm

  is a recently launched biotechnology investment firm based in New York City, focusing on both public and private therapeutics companies.

  is seeking a full-time investment professional to work directly with the two founders/portfolio managers across all aspects of the investment process, focusing on due diligence of public and private biotech companies. This is an opportunity to join a new firm on the ground floor with significant growth opportunities for high-performing analysts.

Responsibilities

• Perform due diligence on novel therapeutics, analyzing clinical and preclinical data, synthesizing scientific literature, and conducting expert interviews
• Attend medical and investor conferences and interact with company management teams
• Prepare detailed presentations synthesizing and communicating findings and investment recommendations to the investment team
• Closely monitor sector developments, including company news flow, new data releases, and regulatory and competitive dynamics
• Build financial/valuation models
• Over time, the role of a successful analyst is expected to expand to idea generation, investment management, and management of other analysts

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in medicine or science (MD, PhD, PharmD)
• 0-2 years of work experience in life sciences investing
• Intellectual curiosity about novel medicines
• Desire to work in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment across multiple projects
• Exceptional work ethic and detail-oriented personality
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely
• Humility and adherence to the highest standards of integrity
• Understanding of basic finance and accounting principles
• Ability to work full time from the firm’s New York office with occasional domestic and international travel

Compensation

Salary and total compensation will be competitive for this role.
