About the Role: Nucor Steel Lexington is seeking experienced Electricians to support our ongoing operations and drive continuous improvement. Our Electricians are key to ensuring reliable operations, minimizing downtime, and supporting a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform day-to-day electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on production equipment
Support automation systems including PLC troubleshooting and programming
Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to optimize performance and aggressively pursue process improvements
Conduct predictive and preventive maintenance using CMMS or related systems
Ensure compliance with safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards
Potentially work rotating schedules, overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
4 years of experience in industrial (or comparable) electrical maintenance, OR
Equivalent education/military training (Electrical)
Formal Training Requirement: Must have at least a 2-year electrical or related technical degree OR military training in Electrical
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in steel mill electrical maintenance
Demonstrated understanding of power systems and automation technologies
PLC troubleshooting and programming expertise
Basic knowledge of hydraulics and mechanics
Proven track record in process improvement and collaboration with operations
Additional certifications or degrees in Electrical or related fields
