2nd Shift 2 PM - 10:30 PM

Overview:

  • We seek a skilled 2nd Shift Maintenance Electrician to support daily production activities by installing, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical equipment in a manufacturing environment.
  • The successful candidate will ensure all tasks are performed safely, efficiently, and accurately to uphold and improve plant performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, diagnose, and repair electrical systems, apparatus, and industrial machinery components.
  • Plan and install power supply wiring and conduit for machines, including palletizers, conveyors, and programmable controllers.
  • Test and adjust electronic components and wiring, ensuring equipment meets specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and repair production and facility equipment for optimal efficiency.
  • Maintain and organize the maintenance area, ensuring cleanliness and order.
  • Utilize maintenance systems to complete daily, weekly, and monthly duties.
  • Operate material handling equipment safely.
  • Document work order completion in maintenance systems.
  • Support predictive and preventative maintenance programs.
  • Actively participate in plant initiatives and support continuous improvement efforts.
  • Perform safety observations and support SQF 2000 Systems development.
  • Uphold Kroger Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Principles.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 2–4 years of maintenance electrician experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and parts specifications.
  • Flexible with work hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, noisy environments with chemical exposure.
  • Strong communication, attention to detail, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently to meet deadlines.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly stand, walk, sit, bend, squat, reach, push/pull, and handle objects.
  • Lift/move up to 50 pounds frequently and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
  • Work in varying temperatures and noise levels.
