Overview

A well-established Chassidish school in Monsey is seeking a hands-on Director of School Operations to oversee and optimize all aspects of school operations. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage complex logistics to ensure the school functions efficiently. While financial oversight is part of the role, a dedicated finance team handles the financial details.

The ideal candidate has experience leading large-scale operations, managing facilities, ensuring compliance, and driving efficiency in a school or similar environment. Construction and development experience is a big plus.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily school operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning across all departments
Manage facilities, logistics, and maintenance, ensuring a safe and well-run campus
Supervise staffing, recruitment, and contract negotiations, working closely with department heads
Oversee transportation, food services, security, and building operations to maintain high standards
Ensure government regulations and grant compliance, working with administrators and legal teams
Serve as the point person for community relations, PR, and fundraising efforts
Lead and manage construction and development projects, coordinating vendors and ensuring timely execution (if applicable)
Must-Haves

Proven operations management experience, preferably in a school or large-scale facility
Strong background in staffing, recruitment, and contract negotiations
Expertise in facilities management, logistics, and compliance
Ability to problem-solve and lead large teams in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and leadership skills to effectively manage staff and external relationships
Experience in construction and development is a plus
