OB-GYN Physician-OR 2026 Residents

• Provides comprehensive medical and surgical care to High Risk women focused on pregnancy, childbirth, reproductive system disorders, preventive care, prenatal services, STD detection, Pap screening, and family planning

 

OB-GYN Physician OR 2026 Residents- Duties & Responsibilities

• Deliver OB-GYN outpatient clinic services

• Serve as the lead referral provider for women’s health consultations

• Manage inpatient obstetrical and gynecological care, both medical and surgical

• Perform gynecological procedures and spontaneous/operative deliveries

• Respond to urgent or stat consults related to OB/GYN needs

• Admit patients to Hospital and act as attending physician

• Rotate on-call responsibilities evenly across providers, including weekends

• Prescribe pharmaceuticals in line with approved drug formularies

• Provide clinical leadership and education to support staff

• Promote preventive care, health maintenance, and patient self-care through education

• Attend staff meetings and contribute to diagnostic/treatment planning

• Communicate with families regarding patient conditions and progress

• Supervise advanced practice providers (PA, NP, or Midwife) as assigned

• Refer patients for specialized care when outside scope of practice

 

OB-GYN Physician OR 2026 Residents- Qualifications

 Board Certification by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology

• Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification

• Valid and active DEA registration

• Unrestricted medical license in Georgia

 

OB-GYN Physician-OR 2026 Residents– Physical Demands

• Full range of physical activity including lifting, patient handling, and fine motor skills

• Ability to stand/walk for long periods and lift items up to 50 lbs

• Requires normal or corrected vision/hearing

• Must manage stress, irregular hours, and exposure to bodily fluids and communicable diseases

 

OB-GYN Physician-OR 2026 Residents– Working Conditions

• Frequent exposure to infectious diseases, clinical substances, and patient contact

• Evening and weekend shifts required

 

OB-GYN Physician-OR 2026 Residents-Reports

• Reports To: Medical Director

• Supervises: Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner, Nurse Midwife
